Event catering starts with a personalized menu consultation. We work with you to understand the dietary and taste preferences of your guests and then create a menu that everyone will enjoy!

Prepared food will be delivered to your venue in disposable aluminum pans and set up according to your preferred service style. We provide chafing dishes and serving utensils a buffet-style meal and we can also arrange the food in your serving dishes as part of the service. We are happy to provide tables, tablecloths and skirting for the buffet, along with banquet staff to serve your guests or pass hors d'oeuvres. At this time, we do not handle event decoration.
Pricing varies, based on the menu and # of guests. Minimum catering order is $400.00
Personal Chef
A personal chef prepares meals in the client's home kitchens, based on their needs and preferences. As your personal chef, I will work to ensure a worry-free event. After we create your customized menu, I will shop for all groceries, prepare the meal, and clean up the kitchen! Let me come to your kitchen and take away all the stress and worry. Whether you want a single meal or meals prepped for the week, I've got you covered.

Personal Chef services are great for busy professionals who want home-cooked meals, but lack the time. This is also a great service for parties of any size. As the host, you'll get to enjoy your guests while your food is expertly prepared in your home kitchen.

Hourly rates, 4-hour minimum. Cost of groceries not included. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due within 10 days of the event.
Event Help
This option is great for times when you pretty much have it all covered, but you need an assistant to help out by cleaning the kitchen, setting out food, replenishing the buffet, etc. Event help does not include food preparation/cooking. Hourly Event Help - $25/hour, per person. Min 4 hours.
The Fine Print
PRICES
Prices on our menus and website may be subject to change due to market price fluctuation, additional charges by your venue to caterer and product availability. Substitutions and additions on any menu will reflect price changes on the final invoice. We recommend clients request a new price quote if there are any additions or substitutions.

CATERING OPERATION / ADMIN FEE
A 18% Catering Operation/Admin Fee applies to all orders. The operation/admin fee is not a gratuity, but is an additional charge that is used to cover certain additional costs that are associated with each event. The operation/admin fee covers costs such as: administrative order taking, employee scheduling, product ordering, delivery scheduling and tracking, event logistics, equipment delivery/retrieval, fuel costs, vehicle repair, credit card fees and liability insurance required to cover any damages or injuries caused by our staff or our equipment to any guests or property. The operation/admin fee also helps offset additional costs such coordinating equipment rental equipment and assisting with the non-catering related elements of a corporate event/party, wedding or event.
**An additional “Service Charge” will apply for events or deliveries outside of our 15 mile delivery zone. This fee is calculated based on travel time and distance, event location and whether a return trip is required to pick up our equipment. Please contact us at 916.233.6665 for additional information. Service Charge is waived if the order is picked up by clients.
NUT, DAIRY, GLUTEN, OTHER FOOD ALLERGY AND SPECIAL DIET
Chrysalis Catering cannot guarantee full omission of all ingredients we use in our kitchen. Our catering kitchen is an open plan facility and allergens such as nuts and gluten are present, so there is always the possibility of cross contamination even when taking every possible precaution. Chrysalis Catering will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items an individual may come in contact with, at any event catered by Chrysalis Catering. Our staff & chef are not trained on dietary allergy or intolerance and if you have a severe allergy, we cannot be expected to provide accurate information or recommendation.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Chrysalis Catering is not licensed to provide or serve alcohol, but you are certainly welcome to do so yourselves, while we provide the rest of the meal.
GRATUITY
Gratuity is not included in menu pricing, nor required, but if you love the food (and you will) tips are greatly appreciated!
