About Chrysalis Catering

 

Chrysalis Catering is a Sacramento-based catering company specializing in American comfort food and Soul food. We love to transform your favorite dishes to suit a variety of dietary preferences such as vegetarian, low sodium and gluten free. Tameeka Gilchrist, also known as “Chef T” is the owner and executive chef of this family-owned business.

 

Chef T moved from the Bay Area to the Sacramento region over 15 years ago where she worked as an executive at a Fortune 500 technology company.  During that time, cooking for family and friends was a hobby. After many years in the corporate world, she decided to turn her hobby into a career.

 

Growth and transition are at the heart of what Chrysalis Catering is all about. Chef T embraced her passion full time, enrolled as a Culinary Arts major at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, earning highest academic honors in the program. Shortly afterwards, Chrysalis Catering was born!

 

Transition is in our name! Chrysalis is the stage from which a caterpillar becomes a butterfly and Chef T is proudly spreading her wings in the culinary world!
